The 20-year-old musician and influencer is currently being sued by three former members of staff. The rising social media star, who has over 36 million followers between her TikTok, Instagram and OnlyFans accounts, has filed a separate lawsuit against Mel B’s ex-husband Stephen Belafonte alleging fraud, conversion, conspiracy, theft, misappropriation and breach of fiduciary duty, among other claims.

She claims Belafonte cost her a fortune after misrepresenting himself as a licensed talent agent. Belafonte claims the lawsuit was an attempt to distract from the lawsuit brought by Malu’s ex-employees. Their lawsuit, filed in Miami, alleges harassment and emotional, verbal and mental abuse. The former employees — who are seeking at least $4 million in damages — are suing Trevejo for battery, defamation, and sexual misconduct, among other complaints. A fourth ex-employee, Witchneverson “Rich” Lacroix, accepted $100k to withdraw from the lawsuit. A lawyer for Trevejo confirmed the payment, saying: “Malu did agree to pay Lacroix a confidential nuisance value amount in order to dispose of his meritless claim.”

The action by the three other former staff, Victoria Barreto, Ralph Colo, and Edwardo Vidal, continues. Trevejo’s behavior went beyond nightmare boss or young, entitled celebrity, the former staffers claim, alleging she used her position of power to inflict emotional, mental, and verbal abuse upon her staff. One major complaint in the lawsuit centers around Trevejo’s alleged emotional and verbal abuse of her employees. If her team didn’t respond to her texts and calls quickly enough — including frequent middle-of-the-night calls — or adequately anticipate her needs, Trevejo became livid at these perceived failures, the former staffers claim.

She’d allegedly lash out, calling them “stupid,” “dumb,” and “retarded,” and use racial and homophobic slurs. An attorney for Trevejo has denied the allegations. “Ms. Trevejo is aware of the false allegations in the lawsuit and looks forward to defending herself against these baseless claims,” said a statement issued on her behalf.
