Monica Puig Marchán, born September 27, 1993, is a Puerto Rican former professional tennis player. She made history as the first Puerto Rican to win an Olympic gold medal, achieving this in the women’s singles event at the 2016 Olympics. Additionally, she is a Central American and Caribbean champion and a Pan American silver medalist.
