Aura Dione, born Maria Louise Joensen on January 21, 1985, in Copenhagen, Denmark, is a multi-platinum Danish singer of Faroese, Spanish, French, and Danish descent. Her 2008 debut album, Columbine, featured the hit “I Will Love You Monday (365),” which hit #1 in Germany, gained over 80 million video views, and went platinum.

She won the European Border Breaker Award in 2011, followed by Best Female Artist and Hit of the Year for “Geronimo” at the 2012 Danish Music Awards, and Female Artist of the Year in 2013. She’s among Denmark’s top two female artists and Germany’s top three.
