Sitara Hewitt, born December 27, 1981, in Elora, Ontario, is a Canadian-American actress, model, and wellness coach.

With a Pakistani mother and Welsh father, she grew up partly in the Himalayas and trained in ballet, jazz, hip-hop, and modern dance. She debuted as a dancer in Bollywood/Hollywood (2002) and gained fame as Dr. Rayyan Hamoudi in Little Mosque on the Prairie (2007–2012). Her credits include You Bet Your Ass, The Young and the Restless, All Rise, and Hallmark films.

A Hughesnet spokesperson, she’s also a meditation entrepreneur, fluent in English and Urdu (semi-fluent in Balti). A U.S. citizen, formerly married to actor Jessie Pavelka (son Rowan, b. 2010), she loves surfing, skydiving, and Himalayan trekking.
